Eau Claire (WQOW) - A man spending time behind bars for exchanging gunshots with police in Jackson County following a high-speed chase was sentenced in Eau Claire County for stealing a car and starting that chase.
In May 2019, Quentin Labansky, 21, from Reedsburg led deputies in Eau Claire County on a chase before heading to Black River Falls.
There, Labansky crashed a stolen vehicle and exchanged gunfire with police.
Friday, Labansky pleaded no contest to five charges including taking a vehicle without consent and recklessly endangering safety.
According to the Eau Claire County Clerk of Court, Labansky was sentenced to five years in prison followed by eight years of probation.
In November, Labansky was sentenced to four years in prison in the Jackson County case.
