LA CROSSE, Wis. - (WXOW) - La Crosse Habitat for Humanity is launching a faith building partnership along with Thrivent Financial. Heralding in the event, a free nacho bar and raffle.
The "Nacho Average Home" takes place on Friday at the Black River Beach Neighborhood Center from 6 until 7:30 p.m. It's a call out to volunteers and donors that can help build and finance the next home build this spring. It's also an opportunity to bring people together in the community.
"We've already talked about the interfaith team building and the inter-generational builds," said Pam Hartwell, Community Outreach Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity. "You know, when we're in a society that's so divided, we can come together and do something really beautiful and really generous. It's a beautiful thing."
The event is free and no registration is required. If you'd like to know more about La Crosse Habitat for Humanity, you can go to their website, https://www.habitatlacrosse.org/
