First COVID-19 case in Juneau County found in health care worker

JUNEAU COUNTY (WKOW) -- The Juneau County Health Department says the county's first case of COVID-19 was confirmed in a health care worker.

The person is now at home under voluntary isolation.

Health officials are trying to identify anyone who has been in close contact with the person and they will follow up with those individuals.

“Our department has been preparing for our first case,“ Juneau County Health Officer Amanda Dederich said in a news release. “Everyone in our community plays an important role in slowing the spread of COVID-19. Wash your hands often and stay home whenever possible.”
