LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - The number of COVID-19 cases in La Crosse County rises to 14 on Thursday.
Jen Rombalski, the director of the La Crosse County Health Department, said they got word of the 14th case early Thursday afternoon.
The number is up from 12 on Wednesday.
She did say that the thirteenth case, a man in his mid 60s, was under self-quarantine and was showing only mild to moderate symptoms of the virus.
The department was still investigating the details surrounding the 14th case.
She did give some good news during the department's daily briefing: Two of the 14 cases have recovered from the coronavirus. The others remain in their homes. They have had mild to moderate symptoms of the virus according to Rombalski.
In Wisconsin, as of Thursday afternoon, there were 707 reported cases in Wisconsin, an increase of 122 from Wednesday.
Nearly 1,500 more tests came back negative according to the state's Department of Health Services. 11,583 people tested negative.
In addition, there was an eighth death from the virus reported in Milwaukee.
