Increasing clouds today…

Monday brought clouds into the area during the afternoon, but easterly winds are transporting in dry air. Rain is falling to the west and will make a run into the region later tomorrow into tomorrow night. The drier air in place will limit the amounts and coverage of the rain east of the Mississippi River, but areas west will see better chances of those showers.

Cooler weather this week…

The temperatures for today were in the 50s to near 60 degrees, and readings Tuesday will be cooler as clouds thicken. The highs will be in the 50s, even a few 40s west. The temperatures will remain in the 50s to lower 60s through the weekend. It will be cooler than normal all week.

Late week frost possible…

A colder air mass will slip in for Friday and Saturday, and that will result in potential frosty conditions for Thursday night and Friday night. Keep in touch with the temperature trends if you have cold sensitive plants.
