LA CROSSE, Wis (WXOW) - On Friday, the Women's Fund of Greater La Crosse found a way to give out their annual grants.

The recipients of this year's grant funding were able to pick up their awards in a drive-by ceremony. The 24 organizations were selected for funding because of their projects that empower women and girls.

The Women's Fund board president Amy Every said that they are glad they can help others make a difference in the community.

"The research shows that funding like this does not go to women's and children's programs as much as it does to other programs. When we can target our dollars specifically to those organizations, we're not only able to support the women themselves, but also their families and the broader community. We really see them making a strong impact," said Every.

The Women's Fund is always looking for more involvement from people in the community. If you would like to get involved, you can find more information on the Women's Fund website.
