LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - Tuesday marked the first day back on campus for students at UW-La Crosse.
Although students are back on campus, things do look a little bit different this semester. Most teachers are offering a hybrid course, which is a combination of part online and part in person.
UW-L Sophomore Maddi Shipler says that so far she's pleased with how things are operating and how the staff is adapting.
"It seems like a lot of the teachers have gotten a lot better with the online format and doing hybrid and even in person. I had two in-person classes today," said Shipler. "In both of them we were all social distancing and wearing our masks and stuff, so obviously it's a little different than last year, but they're definitely cooperating and everything with the changes."
Many large colleges across the nation are seeing spikes in COVID-19 cases so only time will tell if area students will be able to remain on campus for a remainder of the semester.
