Slim majority for democrats in the U.S. Senate

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) Democrats are the majority party in the House of Representatives.

And, democrats have a slim margin in the Senate through the tie-breaking vote of the Vice President.

We spoke with political analyst Tim Dale about that issue.

Dale says, in part, "it will be interesting to see how bi-partisan some of these efforts are. . ."

The political climate remains polarized. So Dale adds the president's leadership skills will play a key role in the process of governing.
