Organizers prepare for the ‘Fall Market on the Mississippi’

WEST SALEM, Wis. (WXOW) -- It may be feeling more like summer this weekend, but one local event is a sure sign of fall.

Over 25 hand-made vendors, including a mini farmers market and a food truck with signature cocktails. will be on display at the 2021 Fall Market on the Mississippi in West Salem at Maple Grove Venues.

Co-host and vendor Amy Nelson said they purposely pick vendors across the board and it isn't easy deciding because there are so many great local vendors.

"Candles, jewelry, wire art and resin art. Anything you can imagine, honestly. We have so much local talent highlighted at this event."

Organizers also said since it's a two-day event and Friday is the VIP day. They said the VIP day is the best day to get your tickets for if you want the widest selection of items. Otherwise, Saturday is general admission.

The event takes place from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sep. 17 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sep. 18.
