June Jefferson Award Winner: Randy Thomson

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)  He’s taught martial arts for 25 years.  But, his mission goes beyond teaching self defense.

Randy Thomson wants to give back some of what’s been given to him.  And that’s one reason he is the Jefferson Award winner for June.  Thomson spends a lot of time encouraging students to become involved in the community while teaching respect, responsibility and discipline.  In the words of the person who nominated him, “my son is a better student, friend, son and community member” because he is part of Randy Thomson’s school.

You can learn more about Thomson by watching the attached story from photographer Garrett Soper and Dave Solie.
