Dakota Area Community school teacher wins this month’s Tools for Schools award

Students at Dakota Area Community School will be getting tablet computers thanks to the $500 Tools for Schools award from WXOW, SSE Music, and Brenengen Auto.

Right now, the first and second grade classroom only has three computers.  This limits how often and how long each student can use school computer programs and online resources.

Teacher, Gina Johnson, hopes that classroom tablets will not only help her students, but the entire school. “The nice thing with our classrooms is that our teachers work together too so if they have a really spectacular lesson they want to borrow the tablets, definitely more than welcome to share within the whole building,” says Johnson.

WXOW, Brenengen Auto, and SSE Music help one deserving teacher or class each month.
