October Jefferson Award Winner: Ellie Hundt

This month’s Jefferson Award winner addressed a tragic loss by making life better for others.

Ellie Hundt’s daughter, Amanda, passed away twelve years ago.  At first, Ellie simply shut down.  But then she realized that Amanda would not want that.  So Ellie found a way to help others.  You can watch her story here.

If you know someone who’s made a significant impact in the community through volunteering, please consider nominating them for a Jefferson Award.  Just stay on our website, click on Community located on the banner near the top of the main page, then click on Jefferson Awards.
