Black River Fall teacher wins Tools for Schools award

Black River Falls High School will be getting an upgrade to the Family and Consumer Science Department thanks to the Tools for Schools Award.

Sarah Halverson is this month’s winner of the $500 award from WXOW, SSE Music and Brenengan Auto.

Halverson says the many aspects of the lab are in desperate need of updates and the money will be used to buy a new dryer for the laundry station. "Sometimes the budgets now-a-days just don’t allow for us to buy those extra things, so this comes in extremely handy," said Halverson.

WXOW, SSE Music and Brenengen Auto help one teacher or class each month. To apply visit http://www.wxow.com/category/225828/tools-for-schools
