Fire destroys semi cab at City Brewery warehouse

No one was hurt when a fire broke out inside the cab of a semi parked Monday morning at the City Brewery distribution center on the north side of La Crosse.

The La Crosse Fire Department was called to the building on St James Street around 10:47 a.m. A semi connected to a trailer started on fire and quickly began to consume the cab.

A fire department spokesperson said the fire appears to have started around an auxiliary generator.

The driver, Gabriel Pescetto of Illinois, was not in the cab when the fire began.

While the cab was a total loss, the trailer and its contents suffered only smoke damage.

There were no injuries reported.
