Monroe, three other counties create tipline for reporting child abuse, neglect

A new partnership between four local counties in Western Wisconsin could be the difference between life and death for children who are victims of abuse.

The Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Partnership is a collaboration between Chippewa, Monroe, Pepin and Taylor counties.

By dialing (833) 327-SAFE (7233), you can report child abuse or neglect. You will speak to a professional who will help you figure out what to do next, like whether to get Child Protective Services involved.

The service is available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Outside of those times, reports should be made to each county’s local law enforcement agency.
