La Crosse students visit sister city in China

A group of students and educators from La Crosse are back after spending time in their sister city, Luoyang, China last month.

The 30 people from Central and Logan High Schools were part of a continuing exchange of students and teachers between the two cities.

The trip ran from June 7-23.

While in China, they stayed with host families affiliated with Foreign Language School Number 2, which has sent educators to La Crosse since 1997, shortly after the two cities began their sister city relationship.

During the 16-day trip, the delegation also visited Beijing, Shanghai, and Xi’an where the famous Army of Terra Cotta Warriors are located.
