LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) — Western Technical College celebrated their nursing students’ graduation with a pinning ceremony at the Lunda Center.

Forty-nine nursing associate degree graduates were honored during the celebration. The event was packed with faculty, friends and family that supported the future nurses.

The class has yet to take their boards, but they said they are excited for the next step in their career.

“There’s so much that you can do with nursing you’re not pigeon-holed to one thing,” Graduate Nurse Jeremy Olson said. “You can do patient care, you can work in an office … there’s just so many different things that you can do with it.”

Each graduate had a rose in their seat. Faculty and experienced nurses spoke to the future that awaits the graduates in their professional careers.

The future nurses were able to pick the person who pinned them in the ceremony.
