(WXOW) – A little action goes a long way to building better habits. At least so say the folks behind Project Character–a practical curriculum to build life’s soft skills with a goal of creating a stronger culture of leadership in the community.
When it comes to this weeks topic, forgiveness, experts say it doesn’t have to be a grand gesture. John Norlin, the co-founder of CharacterStrong, said forgiveness doesn’t even have to be an outright reconciliation.
“In small ways you can do something intentionally kind to someone you maybe do have resentment toward,” said Norlin. “This could be someone who annoys me a little bit or I’ve got a negative history with. Maybe it could be starting small like saying good morning…even though you don’t necessarily feel like it.”
This week’s dare is to forgive someone who doesn’t deserve it.
Share the challenge and your success with it on Instagram or Facebook using the hashtags #ProjectCharacter and #forgiveness.
