LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – Aquinas High School held it’s commencement ceremony on Saturday afternoon, with 80 students in blue and gold crossing the state as 2019 graduates. The commencement address was given by teacher Kristin Daykin. Special recognition went out to class Salutatorian Angela Ellis.

This year also noteworthy for having four Co-Valedictorians, all taking time to address the graduating class.  Claire Dolan, Giselle Fisher, Alexis Harwick, and Samuel Orlan concluded their time on stage with a selfie photo to a round of applause. Afterward, it was time to toss the graduation caps into the air.

“It’s a really exciting feeling.  It’s been a long four years,” Caleb Taggart, one of the graduates said. “There’s been ups and downs but in the end, it’s just a lot of fun being here. I’m so grateful.”

“I have made so many amazing friends,” Emma Burke, another graduate said. “I wouldn’t trade it for anything and I’m so grateful that we got to graduate together.”

This year was the ninetieth commencement for Aquinas.
