Police: Intoxicated suspect rolls vehicle, spits in faces of officers

MADISON (WKOW) — Police say an intoxicated suspect spit in the faces of three officers after striking two parked cars and rolling her vehicle in Madison early Sunday morning.

According to an incident report, nearby officers heard what was determined to be a rollover crash in the 4200 block of Nakoma Rd. around 2:45 a.m.

Police say they found an intoxicated 22-year-old woman trapped in a vehicle upon arrival. Officers were able to free the woman from the vehicle by cutting her seat belt.

The suspect had reportedly lost control while driving and struck two parked cars, causing severe damage to them before her vehicle rolled over.

While officers attempted to investigate the crash, the suspect began to resist and spit in the eyes and mouth of three officers, according to a police report.

Authorities say the woman was taken to a hospital and will ultimately be charged with a first offense Operating A Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated, as well as three counts of Discharging Bodily Fluids at Public Safety Workers.
