La Crosse Symphony Orchestra announcing “Conductor Wannabe” winners

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – Two people will have an opportunity to conduct the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra.

Maureen Freedland is a “Conductor Wannabe” winner.

Maureen Freedland and Brad Quarberg are the winners of the “Conductor Wannabe” competition. The two took part in a competition to raise money for the Orchestra. A charity of their choice will also benefit.

Eight community members took part in the fundraiser. They raised a little more than $54,000.

Maureen Freedland’s fundraising will also benefit the La Crosse Jail Ministry. Brad Quarberg will support the Education Foundation music programs in La Crosse.
