Police arrested 40-year-old David Wims, whom police say is well known to the criminal justice system and was out on bond for methamphetamine delivery charges at the time of this latest arrest.

Capt. Jason Melby says, “This is not a person selling to support their own habit. This is a for-profit drug dealer. These are individuals who are selling this stuff in our community.”

Earlier this week, La Crosse police made another major drug bust. Combined, the two turned up 96 grams of heroin and fentanyl along with ecstasy pills, $12,000 in cash and a handgun.
