Richland Center man awaiting charges for alleged stealing of auto parts

VIROQUA, Wis. (WXOW) — A 37-year-old Richland Center man has been identified in an investigation over stolen auto parts at a salvage yard in rural Viroqua.

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office identified Jeremy Stankovich on Saturday as the man in connection with the alleged stealing of auto parts. He is cooperating with the Sheriff’s Office. The incident happened earlier in July, and the stolen parts were reported to authorities on Tuesday, July 16.

Stankovich is currently awaiting formal charges that will be sought through Vernon County District Attorney Timothy J. Gaskell. Stankovich will appear in Vernon County Circuit Court on August 7 at 8:30 a.m.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office were the Richland County Sheriff’s Office, Richland Center Police Department, and the Fond du Lac Police Department.
