LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – An art department misconduct investigation led to a change in leadership at UW-La Crosse.

The school has not named who they’re investigating.

UW-La Crosse did name Marie Moeller the interim department chair. According to the University’s website, professor Joel Elgin had been the department chairperson.

According to Elgin’s LinkedIn professional social media page, he’s worked as a UW-La Crosse printmaking professor for 22 years.

Last week, a UW-La Crosse student posted on her Facebook page, claiming a professor sexually molested her. The university has since re-opened an investigation but has not named the professor they’re looking into.
