LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – Between the Bluffs Committee hosted the seventh annual “Quick Paint” competition at the Riverside Gardens.

The criteria was that artists had to paint a subject within a 15-mile-radius of Downtown La Crosse in less than two hours. Organizers said they enjoy the different artistic interpretations of our area.

“It’s good to see what people create,” Between the Bluffs committee member Ellen Kallies. “To see the different areas of our community that artists choose to portray.”

The paintings produced at the competition, plus other pieces, will all get displayed at the “Gallery Reception and Art Sale” on Friday, September 13 at Studio Galler on 1311 Market Street in Downtown La Crosse from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Admission is free.
