SPARTA, Wis. (WXOW) – The town of Sparta celebrated the end of the summer season with a bang with its annual Fall Fest.
At the fall fest, there was live music from talented local people, a wide variety of items to buy, and a good number of food trucks for hungry fall fest-goers. More activities included a tractor ride down the street.
There were a few flurries that occurred during the festivities, but despite the cold weather, organizers said they were pleased with the turnout.
“My favorite part about this year is people showing up to bike trail the trails around here. I also like to see all of the colors that come along with the changing of the season.” John Hendricks, Organizer for Sparta Fall Fest.
Hendricks is also the Executive Director for the Sparta Area Chamber of Commerce.
The event concluded with a chili cook-off and a ‘mini Oktoberfest,’ as Hendricks called it.
