LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – The La Crosse Center Board unveiled new designs and a video for the upcoming expansion plan.

There was a public input meeting at the La Crosse Center on Thursday that was meant for community members to see proposed designs and make suggestions before the Board moves forward with bids.

The new designs for the 38-year-old building’s expansion could help bring bigger acts to La Crosse and increase revenue for the city.

“We hope it makes it a more attractive place for people to come and perform here,” La Crosse Center Board President Brent Smith said. “It’s going to add more space so we can do even bigger meetings than we already do, and we think it’ll make it more attractive for the people who are here.”

The La Crosse Center Board said the project costs about $41 million and construction is slated to begin early 2020.
