Eau Claire police investigating ‘concerning death’ after male body found

Eau Claire (WQOW) – The Eau Claire Police Department is investigating after the body of an adult male was found Thursday evening.

Deputy Chief Matt Rokus tells News 18 the body was found in a home on the 2600 block of Seymour Road during the course of an investigation.

“There are some concerning circumstances relating to this death investigation,” Rokus said.

The body has been sent to Madison for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death, as well as to identify the body. Preliminary autopsy results are expected later Friday.

Additional information, including the deceased person’s name, is expected to be released Monday.

Rukus does not believe the public is in danger.
