Trempealeau County (WQOW)- A sheriff’s department K-9 helped catch a man in Trempealeau County accused of stealing a vehicle.
On Friday, February 1, Jackson County Police located a stolen vehicle in the town of Albion.
After pulling the vehicle over, the suspect, Jarrad Gaede of Alma Center, fled and led police on a chase on County Road C in Trempealeau County.
Police were able to use a maneuver to stop the vehicle. Gaede ran but was soon caught by the K-9 officer.
Gaede is being held on several charges including fleeing an officer, operating a motor vehicle without consent, resisting arrest, and more.
He was called early on Friday, he and his handler were called to a traffic stop. Chance sniffed and indicated the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
The resulting search turned up methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and more than $8,400 in cash.
