It’s almost time for the winter cold to set in, so it’s fitting to have a heartwarming tale of love from the UW-La Crosse Theatre Department. The play “Almost, Maine” runs one weekend only at UWL’s Frederick Theatre.
The show tells the story of the residents of a small, unincorporated township called Almost in the state of Maine. When the Northern Lights shine overhead, some unusual happenings take these stories for something of a spin. Through each of the vignettes, audiences learn a little bit more about this relatable place and the relatable people who inhabit it.
Almost, Maine runs Nov. 1 through Nov. 4. Evening performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30. A Sunday matinee is set for 2 p.m. on Nov. 4. All shows are general admission and take place in the Frederick Theatre in Morris Hall. Tickets are available at the UWL Theatre website.
