Packers Tailgate Tour making Sparta stop in April

SPARTA, Wis. (WXOW) – The annual Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour plans a visit to Sparta.

The team announced the April 10 stop at Sparta Meadowview School starting at 6 p.m. It is one of five stops on the tour around the state in the first part of April.

Proceeds raised at the event will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Sparta.

The team says that due to an earlier start of this year’s offseason program, current players won’t make the trip. There’s plenty of former players on the  tour.

Besides Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy, Packer alumni Nick Barnett, Earl Dotson, Ryan Grant, Bernardo Harris, Aaron Kampman and Scott Wells will appear in Sparta.

Each tailgate party includes food, giveaways, Q&A sessions, and autographs. Tailgate tickets are $40 each.

A General Admission ticket is available for $10. That includes the Q&A sessions and tailgate party activities. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.

Tickets go on sale Friday, February 22 at 8 a.m. Tickets on sale at the Boys & Girls Club of Sparta and over the phone by calling the Boys & Girls Club at 608-269-2582. Tickets also available at Fast Eddies, 9860 WI-21, Sparta; Westside Wine & Spirits, 7607 WI-16, Sparta; Hanson’s IGA, 834 W. Wisconsin St., Sparta.
