La Crosse, WI (WXOW) – It’s the soundtrack to our lives in many cases–the music of the movies so influential in pop culture. You can get a behind the scenes peek courtesy of the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra.
Maestro Alexander Platt said the spring pops concert will feature the legendary works of award-winning film composer John Williams. His themes from Indiana Jones, Jaws, ET and Platt’s personal favorite Jurassic Park will make up the first act of Saturday night’s performance at the Viterbo Fine Arts Center.
After an intermission, the LSO will return to perform the theme from Schindler’s List, also composed by Williams. They will be joined then by guest violinist, the Russian-born Yevgeny Kutik for a violin concerto from Erich Korngold who wrote the scores for such works as The Sea Hawk, Captain Blood, The Adventures of Robin Hood and The Prince and the Pauper.
