La Crosse, WI (WXOW) – Local cancer research stands to benefit from golf for a good cause early next month. The La Crosse Country Club will host the 12th Annual Sue Eber Memorial Drive for Hope.
The outing takes place Monday, June 3 with registration beginning at 10:30 in the morning. A shotgun start sends golfers off at noon for a round of 18 before a dinner and social in the clubhouse starting at 5 pm. Awards, raffles and a live auction all seek to benefit lung cancer research at Gundersen Health System. Last year’s event raised $38,000.
You can register online by going to the Gundersen Foundation website. The four-person scramble is $125 per person and includes the round of golf, dinner and a grab & go lunch before the round. There’s also an option to participate only in the dinner.
