Onalaska, WI (WXOW) – A picture may be worth a thousand words, but 10 words could be worth $100 for those who can get the creative juices flowing. The Onalaska Sculpture organization wants community members to come up with a tagline for the centerpiece of the Great River Landing.

Joyce Dively with the sculpture committee said they’re looking for an original idea, in 10 or fewer words, to be etched on the underside of the circle that’s prominent in the statue design. Dively added that the winning submission should reflect the nature or themes surrounding the landing. The winning entrant will receive a $100 gift card to Sue Kolve’s salon.

You can send your entries to Joyce Dively at 711 Pleasant Ct. in Onalaska (54650) or to city hall. The deadline to enter a submission is June 1, 2019.

Those wanting to be a part of the project through donating can also have their name memorialized in the project. Fellow committee member Linda Lyche said those submissions are due by July 1. You can learn more how to donate by finding the sculpture project on Facebook.
