La Crosse, WI (WXOW) – Will it be a curve-ball? A knuckle-ball? La Crosse Area Day first pitch thrower Brad Quarberg said if all goes according to plan, it’ll be “Just a bit outside” on June 27.

Quarberg quoted the legendary “Voice of the Brewers” Bob Uecker to channel his strategy for throwing out the honorary ball at the 22nd La Crosse Area Day at Miller Park. Having attended nearly all of the La Crosse Area Day games, Quarberg said he’s ready for his turn on the mound.

A special game is sure to follow at 1:10 pm as the Brewers take on the Seattle Mariners, managed by Coon Valley native Scott Servais. A former big league catcher, Servais played one game at Miller Park in his final year, 2001. He will make his Miller Park managerial debut at La Crosse Area Day. Quarberg said he’s hoping Servais has a good day, but not too good that he beats the Brewers.

If you want to see the game, enjoy a full tailgate experience and transportation to and from the game, you can reserve a seat for $90 at lacrosseareaday.com. Family tickets are also available at explorelacrosse.com or by going to the tourism center in Riverside Park.
