Amber Meyer

Amber joined News 19 in April of 2017 as a production assistant. Soon after, she was trying new things around the newsroom, and in January of 2018, Amber became the full time Evening News Producer.

Before coming to News 19, Amber also worked at KQEG TV 23 in downtown La Crosse. There, she ran control and co-hosted the show Seven Rivers Shopping.

Amber graduated from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse in December of 2017. There, she studied Communication with an emphasis in Broadcast and Digital Media and had a minor in Creative Writing. While in college, Amber worked both on and off the air at the campus news station, WMCM, and hosted her own radio show, Chick Beats.

Amber is originally from Berlin, Wisconsin, a small town in the Fox Valley. She grew up on her family’s dairy farm, creating a deep love for agriculture, animals, and her state. She enjoys spending her free time outdoors, reading books, following current events, and with friends. She has traveled to Europe and has spent a month doing volunteer rainforest restoration in Costa Rica.

Amber is excited to continue calling La Crosse her home and be a part of the Hometown Team.
