Andrea Albers is someone that viewers in western Wisconsin will recognize. She began her broadcast news career in 2009, at our sister station in Eau Claire, where she most recently served as an evening anchor and the Assistant News Director.
Andrea’s reporting has earned awards from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association as well as two Emmy nominations. She’s passionate about local news and over the years has found this quote to be true,”Frankly, there isn’t anyone you couldn’t learn to love once you’ve heard their story.” It was something that a social worker shared with Fred Rodgers, and the beloved children’s TV host carried that quote in his wallet.
Andrea is excited to once again sit at the anchor desk. She’ll anchor MidDay, an hour-long newscast, that will be broadcast in western Wisconsin. Andrea will also serve as Assistant News Director at WXOW, focusing on managing the daily content creation for the station’s newscasts and digital platforms.
