Dave Marck’s passion is music. That’s how he makes his living. He’s a New York City based jazz musician.
Dave grew up in La Crosse. Most every summer, he returns for a couple of reasons. He performs free concerts with friends. And, he continues his parents passion.
Bob and Jean Marck liked to give back to the community. That’s the reason for the Bob and Jean Marck family fund. Each year, Dave and his sisters decide how to donate money generated by that fund. Last year, Dave contributed to a grand piano at Logan. This year, a grand piano in Westby.
On September 12, he will get together with Greg Balfany on saxophone, Karyn Quinn on bass and Rich MacDonald on drums. They’ll play a concert titled, “Night and Day, A Celebration of Cole Porter.” Doors at the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center open at 7 PM, the free concert begins at 7:30. Seating is first come, first served.
