La Crosse Police looking for driver of vehicle that hit two children

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – The search is on for the driver of a vehicle that hit two juveniles on the north side of La Crosse Friday afternoon.

It happened around 4:52 p.m. at the intersection of George and Logan streets. Police said that three juveniles were crossing George Street when a southbound car hit two of the youths. Both suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses said the car is a 4-door gray or lighter colored gray passenger vehicle. It may be a Toyota or similar make. It was last seen headed south on George Street.


No description of the driver was available.

The Facebook post from the police said that they hope given the time of day and volume of traffic on George Street, someone may have information that would help them find the vehicle and driver.
