LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) — APTIV hosted its annual “Sweetheart Dance” at Shenanigans on Saturday.
The organization draws inspiration from “Aptitude, Active, Live and Adaptive” for its name and it works to assist those living with disabilities to live independently. The dance is meant to bring together community members for a fun time and celebrate friendship.
“We have a great community and we just want to promote the La Crosse area–our whole community,” APTIV Community Outreach Specialist Jimmy Westland said. “We just want to be a leader in the community when it comes to collaboration.”
The sweetheart dance occurs on the second Sunday in February every year. APTIV employees said they love hosting the event because it brings a smile to everyone’s face.
