Black River Falls man facing charges following stand off

Black River Falls, WI (WXOW)  A Black River Falls man is in jail following a four hour stand off.

It happened March 6 about 8 PM.  The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department receiving information that 40 year old Anthony J. Phillips was in a residence on Murphy road.

Phillips had a felony warrant in connection with a domestic violence incident from March 3.

During negotiations, authorities learned Phillips had a .22 pistol and was threatening to take his life if officers approached.

Eventually, Phillips left the home and was arrested without further incident.  He was taken to jail on domestic disorderly conduct charges, domestic battery, false imprisonment and a Department of Corrections Warrant.

Through a release, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says additional charges are pending.
