Tomah man indicted by federal grand jury

Madison, WI – WXOW – A federal grand jury has charged a Tomah man with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

Bobby Ostrum, 36, was arrested by Sparta police back in November 2018.  Officers pulled over his red 2014 Silverado after seeing the vehicle cross the center lane.  Authorities discovered Ostrum had a child support warrant as well as being on bond for drug related charges.

Following his arrest on the warrant, a meth pipe was located on Ostrum.  A search of the truck revealed four ounces of methamphetamine and more than seven ounces of marijuana.

If convicted, Ostrum faces a mandatory five years in federal prison.  He could receive up to the maximum of 40 years.
