LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – Children of all ages hopped over to the parenting place for an early Easter celebration.
Kids had the opportunity to paint with Easter eggs, pick a sucker from lollipop lane, play with a bunny, build with play-dough and event meet the Easter bunny.
“[My] favorite part is just that I’m always so gratified to see that children really do want to do their own thing and that if you trust them, they will do things that you didn’t even expect them to do with the materials that are out.” Parent Educator Fran Swift said. “It’s just so satisfying for me to see that because so much of their life, even at an early age is pretty directed.”
The weather kept this years event in doors, but that didn’t stop the children from having a great time.
Swift also mentioned that their egg hunt stands out from others because there’s no candy inside the eggs.
She says this cuts down on the focus of just searching for candy and leaves parents happier, but don’t worry, the children all leave with a basket full of treats at the end.
