Brookfield man arrested in Monroe County on 5th OWI charge

SPARTA, Wis. (WXOW) – Charges are pending against a Brookfield man after he’s arrested on a charge of drunk driving Monday evening.

A Wisconsin State Patrol trooper went to a call around 9:45 p.m. on I-90 westbound for a possible car/deer crash.

Instead, the trooper found the vehicle was only disabled but still in the lane of traffic. The trooper pushed the vehicle off the road onto the shoulder. The vehicle was towed to a nearby gas station.

There the trooper did field sobriety testing on the driver. As a result of failing the tests, 55-year-old Patrick T. Brah was arrested on a charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle Under The Influence, 5th offense.

He was first taken to Sparta Mayo Hospital for a blood draw, then was booked into the Monroe County Jail.
