LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – Hundreds of kids had the opportunity to burn some energy while learning valuable lessons.
Project My Neighborhood held a “Blaster Battle” at the La Crosse Wellness Center Saturday. Project My Neighbor is a Minnesota non-profit organization that raises funds and awareness for bullying prevention.
In between battles, kids learned valuable lessons on leadership, self care, and how to recognize and prevent bullying.
“To address it and to empower the person being bullied, that’s kind of the goal here,” Matt Nelson, Co-Founder of Project My Neighborhood said. “What we’re looking to do is motivate the bystander to step in.”
