LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – The Hytry sisters have volunteered their time to Mayo Clinic in La Crosse for the last 20 years and on Tuesday afternoon they got to work side by side.

The four Hytry sisters; Kelly, Mary Eve, Juanita and Donna have spent much of their lives giving back to the community. They grew up in a religious household with a total of 15 children. Some of the Hytry kids went into education, some started in the medical field and others joined the convent.

Today these four sisters still work hard to give back to their community and spent Tuesday afternoon coming together to volunteer at Mayo Clinic Health System’s blood drive. The women say that hard work is a value that was handed down to them from their parents.

“We are very, very close,” Kelly Hytry said. “Our greatest delight is being together. We can feel free to do and say what we need to say and sometimes it’s not the best but we sure enjoy it anyhow.”

The Hytry sisters said that the greatest lesson their parents ever taught them was to work together, play together and pray together.
