Hamburger, hot dog buns recalled over potential plastic

Hamburger and hot dog buns sold at major retailers such as Walmart, Dollar General, Target and Sam’s Club are being recalled because they may contain small pieces of hard plastic.

Georgia-based Flower Foods, Inc. announced the voluntary recall Tuesday.

The products were distributed under a variety of brand names in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Customers should throw out the recalled product or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may call Flowers’ Consumer Relations Center at (866) 245-8921.

A list of the products being recalled is listed below in a release from the company.
