La Crosse, Wis. – (WXOW) – Cancer patients at Gundersen Health Systems received gift blankets and messages of hope Thursday.

In it’s fourth year as a partnership, Dahl Suburu and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society delivered the blankets to patients and their families. The event serves as a way to bring awareness and a stronger sense of community to all involved.

“We rally around that,” said Jansen Dahl, Vice President of Dahl Automotive. “It brings out the best in our team and it brings everyone together, too.”

Dahl adds that simple acts of care and compassion make a difference, ultimately something that gives back to the whole community.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in it’s 70 year history continues working toward it’s mission, which is curing leukemia, lymphoma and Hodgkin’s disease.  Also part of that mission, improving the quality of life for patients and their families.
