UPDATE: List of roads still closed due to flooding and storm damage

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – There are still some roads closed as of Sunday evening at 10 p.m. due to flooding and damage done by storms the past few days.

A number of roads remain closed in Vernon County. Here’s the updated list from the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office:

Several are closed due to wash outs, debris in the road, or water over the road. They include:

  • County Road P – Passable for emergency vehicles-signs still up
  • Harrison Road near Kickapoo – County Road S to Larsen Road – Culvert – down to one lane
  • Hilltop Road
  • Koll Road
  • Larson Road -From Bruland to Harrison – impassible at S7273
  • Moline Hill Road
  • Peterson Lane
  • E. River Road near Kickapoo – No signs but water over the roadway
  • Spry Road

On Spring Coulee Road in the Town of Coon, the bridge is out.

County Road JJ in the Town of Viroqua – Just off Highway 14, the bridge is compromised and closed


Due to water over the road the east and westbound lanes are closed on WIS 171 from WIS 27 to WIS 131.


 

The City of La Crosse has closed Old Town Hall Road east of Rio Grande Blvd. due to a road wash out and flooding. The road is closed until further notice.


Houston County Road 21 is closed from Mound Prairie to Chicken Ridge Road due to a washout according to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office. They said the closure will likely continue into next week.
