(WKOW) — After 23 years, parents can ditch the scissors when it comes to cutting out Box Tops from their kids’ favorite cereals. The company has launched a new app that will make the process a lot simpler.
Parents will be able to scan their grocery receipts at the store and schools will automatically get 10 cents on each Box Top item that was purchased. The company believes the app will make it easier for schools to earn money on different materials for students.
“Over the years, technology has advanced at incredible rates,” Lilly Moeding, Box Tops spokesperson and coordinator said.
“[The app] will give schools a way to earn cash for much needed supplies, technology, playground equipment, library books and so much more,” Moeding said.
The app also allows parents to see how much money a school is getting in real time.
